hi guys. i want to put an xbox or ps2 in my car. im not sure which 1 i sould get yet. but i have one question. when people put these in their car how do the power them?...ty

You could do it from the cigarette lighter, but that would be ugly. Maybe reroute the wiring from the lighter directly to the spot where the xbox/ps2 is being installed. That way, no one can see any wires or anything.

buy a power inverter....it gets wired just like an amp ==> power from battery to + side, ground from chassis to - side, hide it under the seat or somewhere where the cord to the system will reach....it has a plug or 2 on it, just plug the game system in

they basically are all the same, $40 at walmart will get a good one (for the first time i think i said something at walmart is good)

One more think...not just ANY inverter will work with an xbox, as the xbox actually draws a CRAP LOAD of power. For a ps2 / Gamecube you can use a 100W inverter minimum, it will work fine. For an XBOX i recomend 300W+ due to its draining. I have one 100W blow already after using an xbox outta it for about a week. Since my invertor is hidden inside the center console its a pain to replace as well.
Im running an XBOX, PS2, and Gamecube off a 1000W invertor right now, so if ya need help with the install lemme know.
