I was wondering if u would get more performance with a high flow cat or just cutting the cat off and welding a piece of pipe in its spot. I heard that u can't cut ur cat because it will mess up the O2 sensors readings and will not run right. Is that true or not.
 
they have cell fixes by the way..........I would suppose you get more power from straight pipe but i know i run disgustingly rich now, i picked up an afc i will tune it as soon as i can get the damn ups man to bring it! :D
 
So i can cut the cat and run a straight pipe thanks for the help and by the way what does afc stand for i just cant figure it out so can someone please tell me what it stands for
 
Yes afc stands for air fuel converter as posted above^^

There are differnces between S-AFC I & S-AFC-II (I ordered afc II, the only difference i am aware of is that afc 1 can adjust every 500rpms whereas the afcII can do it every 200rpms, also the II looks cooler :p and i ordered it in black cuz it looks badass)

right, and you can program in 2 completely different settings for different conditions and save it, and you can have a password on it so that no one can mess with it(maybe someone wants to check out the comp before the desert race wars cause they saw you bought 3 T66 Ball bearing turbos? :confused: ok sorry).

uhh, all you gotta do is increase the duration of the injector pulse by a couple of milliseconds and it will take a second off your 1/4 mile :rolleyes: but everyone already knows that

on a serious note, i dunno if the II are that much better then the I, and since im getting a I for super cheap, im just gonna hope there not much better :D
 
hahahaha well i got afc-II just because no one around here had a I......one person did have a afc I wanted 250 for it, i laughed and orderd a brand spankin new afc II for 280 shipped
 
my cel came on with a high flow cat...reading was "catalyst efficiency below standards", or something to that extent...not a biggie tho

i absolutely hate that light, it bugs the hell out of me even if its nothing serious, i just cant stand looking at it. hey, i wonder what would happen if you just hung the o2 sensor out of the piping and in the normal air? :confused: then you would be getting amazing catalytic efficiency. well, that would only work if my understanding that the second o2 sensor is just to moniter the cat and doesnt affect the a/f ratio at all is correct.
 
i gutted mine just guted and no cel came on its runing alot harder though like it wants to go. the sound increased as well but im sure i ned to get it tuned i keep modding my car but not tunning it bad i guess. well i should do that my next pay check
