Wondering about a Heat Shield

I was wondering if there is a heat shield that can cover a SBR Exhaust mani or a EVO III exhaust mani? If u seen one let me know.

how well would a custom made aluminum diamond plate heat shield work? I mean would the heat coming off the mani be too intense for aluminum?

I can't speak for the Slowboy but the EVOIII exhaust manifold has the same 3-hole pattern. If you look at my car pics that's the 2G heat shield on the EVOIII manifold.

I use a 2g heatshield on my car. You just need to make it fit.

If u have a SBR exaust mani, what kind of heatshield are you using on it?

I have the SBR Manifold and the stock heat sheild works fine. the pass side upper bolt didnt fit by a hair but 2 bolts are plenty enough to hold it on.

I did the same thing as thomas on my sbr mani. 2 bolts will hold the heatshield no problem

Yeah JMfab said that he didn't know if it would fit for sure, because he hasn't tried his heatshield on a SBR mani yet.

hey, there is one offered here . its at the bottom of the page. only 35 bucks or so.


though, the one critizism i have with this one is that i would like a top to it. i have yet to find anyone who offers a top section to the heat shield. this might be because it would interfere with the OEM hood. not suer about what the reason is.

i want to put in a predator hood, but am afraid of getting water in the intake, and that would SUCK bigtime
