i cut my talon harness out and im working on wiring an eclipse harness in...
the outer lights are signal lights so i wired that up no problems im just having trouble with brake lights because when i wire them up to headlight switch when ever i hit the brakes my dash lights and guages turn on and off since its picking up power from the brakes... anyways i was thinking of wiring up signal, brake lights and the headlights switch all seperate.. but that would mean only one bulb would light up for brakes... would there be an easier solution?

With what you have said, there is not solution for you I think you will be all alone on this one because only you know whats going on with your cutting and splicing.

advice is to get another wire harness and simply swap it on. how hard is that? why are you doing what you are doing? is it because of the same fact that you hacked it all up?

I would suggest getting the wiring diagram for a 95 eclipse. You can get them in the back of the Haynes manual, factory shop manual, or Internet site like alldatadiy.com. If the 95 wiring separates brake and signal functions, you can get one of the trailer light converters that combines the functions and wire it in.

Aren't they about the same? Just need to lengthen a wire to the reverse lights?

Getting an unmolested harness will be your best solution, That's because no one will help you out, No one knows what you exactly did or how you wire every single wire.

I will not blame you for cutting your harness, which every one of as do what ever we want and some times we go extreme, So my best advice besides getting a new harness is, If every thing is working perfect and have no other problems besides the interior lights, Just check your dim light sensor at the inside (left side of the steering wheel) check the line that feeds the cluster lights and connect it to the parking lights, make sure to use a fuse in between and you will be OK.,., This way, you will have power to the cluster lights only when you turn on the parking lights, This will solve your blinking light problem.

thx for your imput.. my old harness was all hacked up... i think i found a solution just have to do a little bit more wiring. ill probably get another wiring harness from a talon
