ok, this may be really stupid but i was just trying to get colder air to my intake filter....i have a 98 GST and a apexi cone type air filter and i was thinking about getting some kind of hosing (like dryer hose or anything that is easily bendable) and route the bottom of the hose down at the bottom of the car with a screening over it and then route the other end of it to the intake filter...will this help at all??? i dont think that i will have to worry about it sucking in water because it isnt sucking, the only time that air is moving up it is while you are driving and then it still isnt sucking...right???

Right about when it's "sucking air".
Good idea but definately has been thought of before already and works well according to the members that do it. Members also report taking some metal/tin/bendable flat metal and putting it around the air filter so it dosen't draw in any of the hot air coming off of the engine.


Also theres a little weather strip on the back by where the hood lays by the windshield. You can remove that little strip.

A few of our guys on here has actually even took the chance of wasting a hood by chopping a couple holes in theirs and hood attaching grills. Looks awsome and I hear it works great! Heres his link.

cooler air is always a good thing. but im sure you wont notice any diff on the ass'o'meter
