Will these tires fit ? (225/55/18)

Hey I have a set of 18x8.5 wheels with a 40 offset. My car will be lowered on tokico blues with Eibach sportline springs (so 1.7-2" drop).
I found a good deal on some 225/55/18 wheels and I am wondering if they will fit on my 2G GSX?

I wouldn't buy them. That tire has a real big side wall. Its hard to say if they would rub or not but why risk the chance.

lets just say my car did not make it off a flat-bed when i had that suspension setup
this was on 235/45/17 on the stock gsx wheels
and thats of course if you care

I would suggest a tire with a smaller sidewall.

I don't mind the spedometer being off, or the issue with tow trucks...

I just don't want them to rub every where. I can deal with rolling the rear fenders if that is a must..

The problem isn't that your speedometer would be off, the problem comes from your setup being about 2.25" larger in diameter than stock. I don't know about your setup, but on my car, I know I couldn't get tires that much larger in diameter to fit. It would start rubbing control arms.

So what would be a good size to look for then? I have been reading 235/40/18? Is that what I should be running?

you were running 235 wide rubber on 6.5" wide rim ??

maximum on GSX rims are 225 .....
