Hey guys so I do apologize if this question has been answered numorous times but I am trying to replace my exhaust and catalytic converter, I have ordered the 3" megan found here ( Megan Racing Catback Exhaust DSM - Modern Automotive Performance ) and it says on it that it will not line up with oem catalytic converter. That it needs a 3" flange. Does anybody know a catalytic converter that will work?
I would appreciate any help
Oh and I have a 97 Eclipse Spyder GS-t

I do want to keep a cat in there, if not at least high flow because I do have to take emissions. The stock cat is still on there but considering the amount of rust in the rest of the exhaust, I am assuming I will have to replace it.

Normally, you buy the cat and flanges separate, then find someone to weld it. I have a couple 3in 3-bolt style flanges and a gasket if i remember right, pm me if they'll work for you.

Unfortunately some of us are blessed with inspectors that say otherwise, I have the same problem. I have an Apexi GT DP that I need to replace with a short DP (from ebay) and some catalytic converter with 3 inch flanges on both sides, I know RRE makes a kit for this but the cat is 190 bucks and the Dp is 230. I guess if worst comes to worst we can just get the ebay DP and the RRE cat.

hmm that is strange that the guy that started the thread about getting a catless exhaust got his car inspected in my area and I could not. In fact the inspector red_devil told me he goes to is the one that failed me. :banghead:

Haha sorry for your troubles bro. I dont know why he is failing you. You may just have to go to another shop. Some places fail for random things others dont if you have nitrous WTF
