Will I notice any changes after removing my charcoal can...like gas mileage or my car running different, horsepower gains/losses?.... I'm removing it because my new dejon air intake doesn't have the hole for it...I'm also blocking off my to a/c line and to tank line coming off the charcoal can

Some say you'll experience some MPG lose, but others say you won't. I removed mine and didn't experience a lose, though I drive my TSi AWD for fun not MPG. I get a steady 20MPG.

As for blocking off the fuel line at your firewall that used to run to charcoal canister, IMO I would leave it uncapped. It's a pressure relieve for your gas tank. I don't know the results of a over pressurized fuel tank, and really don't want to experience one.

If you don't have to worry about emissions removing it and the associated emission vacuum hoses you will NOT experience any power gains. UNLESS the ones installed are leaking. You'll just regain lost power if they are in bad shape, but NOTHING more then what was expected from factory.

If you do remove the emission vacuum lines though. You must cap the ports on your throttle body, and install a EGR block off plate.

Depending on if you have the stock boost control solenoid or a MBC there are 2 other points to block aswell. With a MBC you block the nipples immediatly after your filter and the nipple leading off the J pipe. Running the stock BCS that connects to those 2 nipples.

Ah yes, the evap canister. I took it off. Horrified at the apparent loss of gas mileage (averaging high teens), I wrestled it back in. I was even more horrified when my mileage didn't improve. I still get high teens. Then again, I tend to drive my GSX with a bit of a lead foot.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that taking it out doesn't seem to have any negative effects. I ran without it for a few months.

Well I hear lots of different opinions on the charcoal can i heard cap the to tank line too...I don't want to take out my egr valve because someone I kno did it and their car ran like shit.... Idk I feellike just leaving the whole car stock just so it'll run right.... I want to free up engine space so it looks better...future mod plans are a 16g, tubular exhaust manifold, maybe a fmic, some 660cc and a safc

I did plug the line, since I didn't like the idea of gas (even fumes) just leaking out of the car.

I'd just leave it in if I were you. It's not taking up space that you could really use for anything else, and unless you're going to pull all the emissions stuff from your car you won't really gain anything from pulling it anyways.
