You ran high impedance Rx-7 injectors with out any modification?

Are these injectors your talking about hi or low impedance?

interesting, are these turbo rx7 injectors or na? there is a turbo in the junkyard near me.. might snag them..

are the turbo 2 injectors they are brown tops right? i think they are 680 cc or something like that, the turbo 2 cars are bigger than 550 i least know that

ill find out in a few mons exactly what size they are for you

someone should find out what size the na and the turbo injectors are ### i know where about 5 n/a's sit and i'm pretty sure i could snag them if they are useable and are 550's or bigger

84-85 GSL-SE were 680 low imp
86-88 NA were 460 low imp
87-88 Turbo were 550 low imp
89-91 Na were 460 high imp
89-91 Turbo were 550 high imp

the 89-91 are NOT a direct swap due to the plugs are high oval offset and dsm's are low square center plugs. however S4(86-88) are direct swaps and so are the gsl's.

previous rotary head:D

if you use the high imps you will need the plugs and remove the dsm resistor box. the ecu drivers are high imp so bypass the box and you should be good. the is a vfaq on this if i remeber correctly

The biggest issue I've seen with guys trying to use RX-7 injectors, other than the impedance problem, is that you end up with non-matched sets. When you send them to be cleaned and flowtested (you had BETTER be cleaning 15+ year old injectors), you find out that they flow all over the place. This can make your car hard to tune, and run poorly. I highly recommend staying away from them, from prior experience.
The best deal by far on injectors is to jump over to evolutionm.net and get a set of used EVO8/9 560cc injectors. They typically flow 585cc or more, are matched very closely, usually have low mileage on them, and actually have LESS deadtime than the factory injectors. I've also seen them on Craigslist and eBay, but they usually only sell for ~$100 on evolutionm.net.

Stock DSM 450's can flow like 550cc injectors if you put enough pressure to them. I would personally skip 550's or 560's period.
