Personally, I think as far as hybrids go, the Prius is much better looking and still does the same thing. (gets you where you want to go with better gas mileage)

I would go with the Civic hybrid if it HAD to be a hybrid, but if I just wanted better mpg, I would get a VW Golf TDI. I think they look better, they are still boosted (mmmm boost), and you have the beauty of cheap diesel. Oh, and the Insight is ALMOST as cool as your man high heels.

this is Nebraska, there are diesel pumps EVERYWHERE ok, ill look into some of these car....i couldnt care less about the environment, i just want something that gets good gas mileage and something that wont break down

Just get a regular civic lx or hatchback. You can still get between 30-40 mpg with a cx hatchback. When I had my 95 dx hatchie, I never got under 35 mpg.

True, but with a 8 year/80K warranty on the electrical powertrain (which includes the batteries), how can you go wrong? Drive it 80K and get rid of it. Meanwhile look at the money you saved over that 80K.

i personally wouldn't laught at u cuase u would be laughting at us on how many times we would fill up the tank before u did...and the way gas prices are these days you would have a field day. Personally i think their POS's but they do go like 60mpg in the CITY. Thats insane..i was reading up on a supra that's going to be a gas/electric engine with like 350+hp and it's gonna put out about 35mpg. not bad...dont remeber the exact figures but u get the point...in europe people are using gas instead of gasoline pretty much everywhere but in america people car about gas miliage, plus everywhere but america cars are geo metro (in size)

I grew up in Aurora, Illinois. Its the cities bout' only claim to fame, so they have the pacer from Wayne's World on display at this casino they have they're. Good times.

if you want economy... you could always go with a civic HX or VX.... they get 40-50 mpg... no electric stuff to worry about. Great commuters. And it doesn't look ugly. but... "its still a honda!!" But face it... you can't beat the mileage you get with them... i'm considering getting a civic myself. i'm getting tired of paying $2.60 per gallon of premium and getting only 15mpg!! but hey its the price you pay if you want to play!

Anyone see the article in Motor Trend (month? It's at work!! the one with the 10,000 hp shootout) ? Toyota set the first speed record, at the salt flats, for a hybrid car. It ran an average of 130mph!!!

Buy a Toyota Prius. Not only is it less ugly, but it's got a huge hatch and seats that fold down for all those DSM-induced runs to the junkyard.
