Which plug wires are better?

which plug wires should I use, the blue ngk that came with it, or some new accel 300+ wires that i have laying around.

I've got 8mm accels in mine, if you have them, use them. I dont think the ngk's are 8mm, or seal as well.

Get the Accels. They work great, seal great, and look great. I have the blue ones on my talon. I had some red ones on my eclipse. The NGK's are more or less a stock replacement.

I installed then, they match my red hoses perfect so thats a plus, and the car seems to start better. just need to find some damn bpr7es's now

Does anyone here have any reasons for why they choose accel vs. magnecore? Anyone any dynometer comparisons ? No, because it doesn't really matter. Choose whatever you can get cheapest, they are just wires. I've used magnecores, ngk, and accel and all of them seem suspiciously similar....some may argue that less resistance yields a bigger spark, but no one has proved a bigger spark actually burns more fuel. Therefore I say go with the cheapest which would be accel or ngk, but magnecore in my experience has a thicker jacket which holds up longer to abuse.

Accels seal around the top of the plugs much better then any set of magnacores i've ever seen. The magnacores on my GST didn't seal worth a damn. Switched to Accels and fitment was notciably better. Do I have dyno proof of a difference, sure don't. But ever had a car not running quite right, sputtering every so often and pissin you off cuz you don't know what it is. Turns out to be slight moisture builup in you spark plug wells due to wires improperly sealing over the plug wells, which in turn is causing slight arcing so you're not getting the full voltage to reach the plug? Well it happened to me and I know I'm not the only one that's been in that situation with those wires. So enjoy your more expensive wires with thicker insulating walls, and your wet dirty plugs. I'll enjoy the fact that I can drive in the rain and not worry about sputtering home.

I got my Accel's on ebay for $25. They seal great but they're tight as hell. Its a pain in the ass trying to take them off but at least they don't just fall off. Bad side is that they were yellow.

Me and a buddy brought some 8mm Accel wires for a V8 Camero and split the cost...Draw back was that we had to assemble them ourselfs. But they work great.

I'v got the Accel Thundersport wires too. Only thing I didnt like was that they were a lot longer than the stock wires. So they kinda look a little messy under the hood.

I have the Accel wires on one of my TSi AWDs and a set of Magnacores on my other TSi AWD. As far as performance goes, you’re not going to notice a difference unless one is bad and the other set isn't. As mentioned earlier, the difference is in how well they seal. The Accel wires seal a lot better then the Magnacore wires do. The Accel wires are also about half the price from what I remember but it's been awhile since I bought either of them.

ive had accels and currently have nology hotwires....i dont really notice much of a difference, which sucks bc the nologys were like double the price of the accels but oh well im sure theyll last a lot longer

I dont know how sure i'd be that they will last longer. Accel makes a good wire, the fitment is perfect and they will last a long time. I have had mine for since i can remember...they havent given me a problem.
