Ive decided to go ahead and do the stroker. I wasnt wanting to spend the money for a aftermarket crank but ive got a buddy that can hook me up with a stock 4g64 crank. I have the 96 4g63 that does not have thrust washers. 97-99 has the thrust washers. Which year crank do I need? And do I use 4g63 or 4g64 mains? Is timing the same? Is the ONLY difference (other than stroker pistons) a simple crank change? Thanks a lot guys.

I doesn't matter.. You can use a stroker crank out of an evo(that was already stroked) if you wanted.. The 4g64 crank will fit into an 7bolt as well as putting the 4g63 crank into any 4g64.. The crank will need to be checked for straightness and it will probaly need to be polished and then the machine shop will tell you what size bearing you need..
