Where u guys buy gaskets and such

I was wondering what sites sell gaskets and routine parts for DSMs, I need new throttle body/elbow gaskets, and I cant find them locally so i need them from the internet, i tried autozone online and they didnt have them either, any good sites you guys can link me to? thanks!

I might catch some crap for this, but for gaskets I usually go to the dealership. I can usually get the right one and don't have to waste a lot of time searching around.

i agree, gaskets go to a dealer, but you might be able to find them cheaper on-line.
head gasket, i wouldnt go anywhere but my local mitsubishi dealer

Agreed! At least you know it'll be the right one at the dealership. Usually they have blueprints of the car and such so you can just point it out.

Something a little funny, I have CAPS on my computer and I go to the dealership with the part #'s and it's funny to see the look on their faces when you know what you want. They know that they can't sell you a bunch of stuff you don't need.

napa gaskets are great for anything but a head gasket.

no need for a expensive oem thermostat housing or throttle body gasket.

LoL, true. I went in there knowing what I needed and they had no clue as to what it was. I started talking to one of the mechanics there while I was waiting for him to look for the part. The guy said when I was done "well at least they won't try selling you something you don't need, or try to get you to upgrade to something since you are standing here talking to me." Guy behind the counter heard that and I thought that was great

( I was asking him about a vacuum leak up by the throttle body )
