ive been trying to get my crank sprocket off for little while now, but the problem is i havent been able to find any 6mm bolts that are long enough to use with my bolt-type puller. all the hardware stores around here have metric bolts that only go up to about 1 1/2 inches (in length). Where has everyone else been getting theirs? would i have to go to a chrysler dealership or something and get the bolts for the bolt-type puller? i suppose i could go over to england for some metric stuff...

i went to a fastener shop, thats all they do sell nutts and bolts.

you will need a m6 with a 1mm thread pitch, i would make sure its atleast 3 inches long

thanks a lot man. i didnt even know there was such a thing as a fastener shop :coy:

I was replacing it (really cheap from the dealer if you didn't know, I paid $13) so I said #### it drilled the holes bigger and retapped them to accept the bolts that came with the puller :D

Aww, you're soo smart Corey!

I get most of my stuff from MSC, but I am fortunate enough to live in one of the few cities with a MSC distribution/sales centre.

Hmm... that is a good idea. I'll have to remember that next time.

Lucky...

McMaster-Carr (mcmaster.com) is also a good source for fasteners if you can't find any locally, although their stuff usually comes in packs of varying minimum amounts.
