getting ready to paint my 2gb gsx wheels... after closer inspection, i noticed a lot of black spots on the lip and i dont know how hard this is gonna be to remove. is it worth it to try and paint my bent wheels..

If your question is in regards to polishing the lips of the wheel, I can tell you that it's not as hard as it is time consuming. First off a painted wheel that has a polished lip that isn't polished, looks like trash. So if your going to paint your wheels, and expect them to look good, you MUST polish the lips. The final product is determined by how much time you put into the sanding of the lip. The polishing is the easy part, granted you have access to a bench grinder with a buffing wheel. As far as the sanding goes, you can take it in steps, start off with low grit work up to a stupid high grit, or you can just start with the stupid high grit. When I did my wheels the final grit I used was 2000 grit, yeah stupid high, with lots of water. After all the sanding and cleaning, I used the buffer wheel on the bench grinder and polished the snot out of it using buffer compound, and nearly shat myself at the finished product. I'm talking mirror finish bro. Don't get me wrong it took some time, but in the end its the only way to do it.
