Wheel fitment opinion on a 1G

I'm looking to get a new set of wheels for summer use and using the stock Talon wheels with snow tires. I'm looking at the MSW type 85 wheels in a 16" on tirerack, but the 6.5" width is out of stock. They do have have the same wheel in a 7.5" width though. I'm planning on remounting my current tires onto the new wheels, but I don't know if anyone's done a 205 width tire on a 7.5" wide wheel. I wouldn't mind the slightly stretched look if it meant I could put a 225 width on later. The offset of the 7.5" wheel is 42mm.

In summary:
-205 width tire on 7.5" wide wheel?
-Would a 225 width tire on a 7.5" wide wheel with 42mm offset fit?

Thanks for dealing with my newbie-ness. My other option is just to wait until the 6.5" width wheels are back in stock.

It'll work fine, and the 7.5" will give you more room to grow later.

I'd buy the 7.5. Imo 1g's look best with meetier fitment, but 205's would fit. Also I have 225s on fd rx7 wheels and they clear just fine.
