What's with all the high priced 2G GSXs these days?

You just have to keep looking... I bought mine for $6000 out the door, manual w/68k miles. Perfect condition, perfect compression across the cylinders.

Also, $6000 around here is a DAMN good price. I could easily resell it for $8000 in a heartbeat. Why won't I? I have everything I wanted... leather seats, manual, turbo, awd, premium sound, sunroof, BLACK, it being a TALON and not a gsx. It was my dream car, and I got it. Took 7 months to find it, but I got it.

Definitely agree... you got a good deal. However, there are a couple things that you cashed in on. 1) despite it being the exact same car, Talons generally go for less than Eclipse 2) 2ga's (95-96) usually sell for less than the later, more desirable years (97-99/2gb).

What am I missing here? You buy a modded car and pay little extra or you buy a stock car that's cheaper and then you spend money on mods. You'll probably end up spending about the same amount of money in the end. Can't afford it? Buy a used Civic and stop whining.

Then find a stock DSM. It's easy to tell if somebody did a hack job on the car. Same thing if they beat on it. You have no idea what you're talking about so quit dreaming of awd 2g for now and get a better job.

Threads about kids crying that they can't afford awd 2g are getting old.

The price of the good ones are justified by their condition, don't be surprised to see this for the rest of eternity.

Ummn...no. You're not going to get back every cent you've put into your car. That's just how it goes...Unless you find somebody who's really stupid. If your car's only worth 5k dollars and you've put $20k in mods into it, I doubt you're going to get $25k for it. In a perfect world, sure..but let's be realistic.

Supply and demand. People seem to not understand that. You can find a cheap GSX in parts where there are a lot of them. In PA there are loads of DSMs that sell for next to nothing. I was offered a 96 AWD talon with 80k for 2500. Why did i not buy it... i was a dumbass then.

If we all look at the other high dollar 1990's super cars($30,000+) imports like the rx-7, supra, 300zx, and vr-4, they are ridiculous!!! I'm surprised the nice 2g's and 1g's aren't worth a little more! Look at the supra, they go for extreamly high amounts, when I think both of the 2g and 1g interiors own there interior. The rx-7 and 300zx are nice but I would still rather have a 2g gsx. The vr-4 is great all around but too expensive and hard to find. Our cars come with so many great features. Like AWD, great interiors, and an awesome after market parts selection! I wanted to get another car for awhile, but when I was test driving cars I thought would feel like an upgrade, they felt inferior. Even some brand new cars! You know what I mean, drive something different for awhile then drive yours and you fall in love again. These cars are the best !!!!!
