Whats a better motor?

hey everyone,
Im looking for a 1st gen GSX or talon, and it is impossible to find one with a decent amount of miles. I was wondering what you woudl consider a better find. A rebuit motor in a gsx or a JDM engine? whats the better of the 2 engines? I found quite a number of both and i was wondering what woudl be able to handle more power and be more reliable in the long run! thanks

A 1992 DSM with a rebuilt engine with 1g-rods and 2g-pistons is the "Ideal Cheap Rebuild" that can take a nice chunk of power. If you can't find this then get just a regular engine in it (jdm I'm sure they will charge you more) and build it up unless the JDM one is really really cheap actually.

The JDM motor is pretty much identical to the american 4g63 with the exception of cyclone intake, which improves bottom-end performance, while sacrificing some top-end. The only reason to get a JDM motor is SOMETIMES they come bundled with bigger turbos.
