Sure, it's not a racing game, but it is the latest place to kill your dsmtuner buddies online..

This came out just in time, I had finally crushed Halo2 in my fist.. damn that game to hell

I played it at my friends house its freakin awsome, the main weapon has a built in chainsaw nothing else to say. i cant get a 360 till i sell my 1g and buy another car (maybe 2g) but as soon as i do that im getting gears of war and its on like donkey kong.

Don't knock the Halo/Halo 2 regime. That game will become a classic over the next two decades. GoW looks good. I can't wait till they fix all the bugs with the XBox 360 system, but until then, I'll just have to wait.

I've been playing GoW over the weekend, it has a few annoyances, but overall is pretty fun. You get some good tactical action in multiplayer if your squad has people who are at least semi-intelligent. The game types are a bit too similar to matter, it's all variations of team slayer, no capture the flag or territories.

Which bugs are you expecting to be eliminated? Most of the little issues are more of a game designer decision problem rather than software errors. The only software issue I've seen is when the host went to check his friends list and the lobby seized up on him.

Never played H1. Halo 2 was ok when it came out, but was generally ruined by cheats, lag, singing 8 years olds.. the Far Cry series is better, on the whole. You can't beat a map editor. But I was too dominant on Far Cry and it became boring.

I just got myself an Xbox 360, I was going to hold out for the PS3 but when I found it it's expected to be around $600 when first released I said screw it.

Only problem I have noticed is it seems to overheat and lock up after multiple hr's of playing NFSU Carbon.

I need another game though, I beat the story line in a day and a half...

The commercials for the game are pretty freaky, especially that song they chose. Very appropriate.

Went and bought a $19 "intercooler" for the Xbox, still locked up once so I sat it on it's side, well see if that helps.. seems like the airflow picked up alot when I did so.

I take it you're talking about Gary Jules's version of "Mad World"? Yes awesome song..perfect for the commercial. The song's from Donny Darko.

Couple dudes I work with have this game. I haven't played it yet. Hope to play it this weekend though.

I got it last Saturday, been playing it alot, haven't tuched NFSU Carbon since , the games adivtive, every time I achive an objective and im like ok after this i'll quit, I just have to see whats next .

I'm not sure why, but I always thought there was a significant difference between Halo and Halo 2. Here is my reasoning: In halo 2, if you aren't as good as someone, you'll get your ass kicked like 43 to 1. In Halo, even if you weren't nearly as good, you at least had a CHANCE to get some kills. It would end up being like 27 to 9 or something. Still a good whooping, but much more fun than 43 to 1.

My roommate and I beat it already. Its a fun game. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to kill some things!

The ending of the game kinda sneaks up on you. Not that it's short, but you just get in a groove and suddenly you're fighting the Locust who struts like a pro wrestler.

Look for my dsmtuners screenname on xbox live if anyone wants to join in for multiplayer against some non-spazs.

I just got GoW a few days ago and I am VERY impressed. The graphics are simply frighteningly awesome. I'm a HUGE Halo2 player and wasn't sure how I'd adapt to a 3rd person shooter, but so far, I'm loving the GoW gameplay. I have a few issues with Locust Horde corpse parts sticking to Fenix's legs if he walks through them, though. I haven't beaten the game yet, and I was going to wait to play online till I had finished the campaign, but a friend invited me to a match and I accepted. I have to say I think I like online play better than the campaign. Very fun.

Makes me wonder what Halo3 is going to be like. But for now, GoW should tide me over until Halo3 drops (11 months and counting).

gears of war was awesome, me and a buddy played the whole game co-op, and we passed it too quick imo, its cool because it sets it up for a sequel.
