My friend has a 91 laser turbo 2wd..
Hes wanting to get as much hp for his cash (isnt' everyone?)

Anyways.. So far he has

16g
stage 2 ebay clutch
nitto 555-r etreme drag tires
boost controller..
broken downpipe (broken at the flex section)..
boost gauge
air/fuel gauge

We plan on doing upgrades like this..

First gonna get a cold air intake.. Is CAI even worth it? Or should we just get a short ram intake?
Then a exaust temp gauge, or should we get another gauge? He has the vent mount peice and currently has it fillde with boost/air-fuel/ gauges..
2.5" exaust turbo back.. get a new down pipe, and probably use mandrel bent pipe for the exaust system and make it ourself.. no cat or anything.. Also plan on porting out the o2 housing on our own
Then go with a new fuel pump + injectors.. What size would you guys look at, when shooting for 400ish hp or whatever boost hte 16g is capable of? also gettin fuel pressure gauge
Then gonna get logging software and fuel managment..
Then probably look into a front mount intercooler + piping..

Somtime throughout all this were gonna rebuild his head and port it out... Right now theres a possibility the valves are bent.. We just planned on getting some upgrades done first and waiting tell the head ####s up, or we have enough extra cash to rebuild it..

Read this link.

Even tho this is far from advanced I'll reply and try to answer each question even tho I only see one QUESTION MARK and one PERIOD throughout the whole post.

Your comments...
1 - You can "make" a cold air intake for a turbo'd car but basically your buying an intake that routes right behind the passenger headlight. ( www.dejontool.com )
2 - If you want a egt gauge then go ahead and get one. But honestly you could always consider "fuel pressure" or some tuning software + a logger instead.
3 - If you make exhaust definately use mandrel bends. Don't PRESS BEND an exhaust system.
4 - 550's and an adjustable fpr
5 - A big16g can run up to about 23-25lbs to my knowledge.
6 - Wow... a fmic... So your going to FOLLOW THE TUNNING GUIDE.

My comments
1 - Considered a clutch or a flywheel?
2 - Wheres the safc that your going to tune with?
Do you know how to tune?
Are you willing to learn?
3 - Whos going to port the manifold or were you going to leave it unported?
4 - How were you talking about porting the manifold?
5 - Are we considering upgrading the suspension any at all?
