rnr has 1g awd cat back for just $335 right now...is it better than bushurs 3"? what would be my best bet? thanks.

A 3inch Mandrel Bent SS or non-SS exhaust is the same thing, There's no difference between the 2 unless one has less bends, but really either way your getting a 3inch exhuast.

well then i think i will go with the rnr then....since it is so cheap, and alot of people on here say they like how it sounds.

The only major issue most people have with the RnR system is the shipping time. But that should not keep people away. Everything takes time.

A cheaper price is OK if you like to wait.

(I am in NO way saying they are a bad business.)

yeah...but since they have it on sale...i guess they have a alot...and they say all ship within 1-2 weeks of order.

My only gripe with the 3" RNR exhaust is it sets off all the car alarms on your block. I guess some people like that.

Mine was a turbo-back though.
but does it sound good? and can you still hear the BOV while driving?

The cat-back on my Prelude does that, I purposely seek cars with alarms out, I get a kick out of it. (my DSM's have stock exhaust so I can't comment on that).

It sounds very deep and mean. My ears couldn't take any more, especially on the highway, so I welded on an Apexi WS muffler and I like it alot better now.

The exhaust doesn't change the BOV noise. If you're on the stock, recirculated BOV you probably won't hear it. If you've got an aftermarket BOV you can always hear it.

so it is extremely loud? sound byte? or where could i get one? does the dynomax sound better? im not going for sound...but i dont know if i want somthing overwhelming...

In my opinion, definitely. That thing gave me a headache every time I drove it. It was way too loud and I was literally setting off car alarms everywhere I drove it. I didn't want to be a cop magnet.

Then again, you might be like some of the other people on this forum who love the sound. It's not the RNR system itself that is loud, just the Bullet muffler that comes with it.

I would add just a straight flowing bullet muffler before the end of the exhaust. Sort of like a resonator but without the loss of as much power you would get from using a resonator.:thumb:

Most all 3 inch systems are built the same and sound pretty loud if it is a 3 in turbo back with a testpipe and a free flowing muffler. I set of car alarms aswell, but only when I romp on it. It is pretty mild at anything below 2k and at cruising speed. It is when you are forcingthe exhaust to move that it gets REALLY loud.

(I am not saying it will EVER sound like stock, just that it can be mild at times and extreme at others!:thumb: )
