What brand exhaust?

Well I have done all the free mods,K&N FIPK kit, Boost guage, uicp with 1g bov and now the next best thing correct me if im wrong would be exhaust. So my question is are all exhuast system brands all pretty much the same? I want to get a 2 1/2" system but i dont want that loud anoying sound I like the way it sounds stock so i would like to keep it around that same tone. There is a wide range in prices out there and if i get a cheaper system is there a difference or am i just paying for the name? Anyway any sugestions or help would be great.

I like the turbobacks from RNRRacing. They take excessively long to ship, but they are high quality and low price. To get an 02 eliminator setup becomes very feasible. For about $600, you can have an 02 eliminator turboback. For more like $500, you can have the standard turboback. I have an 02 eliminator downpipe from them, and it made quite a dramatic difference in spool time; there were some noticeable power gains too.

I like borla myself, but I don't have a DSM so I can't say what works best for it.

I have thw Apexi N1 cat-back and downpipe, and I think its best damn exhaust you can get! I love mine, it's not too loud at all, looks amazing, and last, i've has mine for about a year now and zero rust or any other problems. www.roadraceengineering.com has them the cheapest i've seen yet.

thermal is probably the best...
i have a VRS 3" SS turbo back o2 elim... very crappy bends and the downpipe vibrates on my tcase and its very annoying...

ive heard rnr is decent to.

apexi is alright... not the greatest but it works.

get custom piping and a muffler from the net.... i got 3" custom turbo back no cat w/ test pipe with magnaflow straight through muffler


80 for muffler
100 for testpipe (cutting it out and bolt's added)
about another 100 for the mandrel bends...

i have the older 3" thermal exhaust which didnt come as stainless steel back then, but heck i got it for free so i have no complaints and it has a nice exhaust tone.
