My tranny just gave out on me and needs to be replaced.

I have a 92 talon turbo fwd. 4g63t

what transmission fits on there ?

also what all cars do i look at to find one in the junk yard???

Im pretty sure all 91-94 will fit im not sure about the 90, i heard they are different. I have a 91 talon tsi fwd and have a 94 gst transmission in it and i works fine. So just look for and of those years that have a turbo, hope that helps.:talon: :beatentodeath:

The 93-94 fwd trannies had beefier axles and won't work in the 90-92 models. If all you can find at the salvage yard is a tranny for 93-94 your going to have to shell out for different axles.

can i purchase the axles are advance auto parts or napa or Autozone. i found a 93 one and i have already bolted it up and all and yes i need axles... were can i get them??

Is there a difference between 93-94 axles other than 91-92 ?? I have a 92 and put a 93 tranny in my car but know i need axles. do i just go up to AutoZone and buy 93 axles??

Ya they will fit fine, i just noticed the other day that i was a moron and had one side a newer axle and the other the original, the newer one is alot thicker but they both fit. So and auto part store will have them.

Hey did u just go and purchase a 93 axle or u ordered a 91 ??

I work at AutoZone but we show the same part numbers for the 92 axle and the 93 axle are the sames...

Hey i just put a 93 FWD turbo tranny on my car and its NOT the correct one anyone know this happened..????

Hey my parts catalogs are showing the same part numbers for 90 - 94. My numbers are 14011 for the driver side and 14010 for the passenger side. So depending on who you guys have for your supplier you should be able to get them no problem.

As far the tranny being wrong. What is diferent or wrong about it?

Its not the axles.. The axles are correct. its the transmission..... anyone know why?? i have it at a tranny shop and they said thats NOT the right tranny but it came out of an a 1993 eagle talon fwd turbo....

You obviously paid no attention to my above post. I already told you that 93-94 axles are slightly beefier. The shaft that goes into the hub is the same on all years but other side that goes into the transmission is different (bigger on the 93-94 models). So once again you need axles from a 90-92, later years won't fit. If the parts store you are going to says they are the same you're going to have to slap them around a bit until they smarten up.:thumb:

hey AXLES are not the problem b/c i took it to a tranny shop and they come up like one inch shorter on each side... they said its the tranny.. i work at autozone and i looked at all axles we have and there the same...

I dont know why it would not fit, the 94 fwd turbo transmission did fit in my 1991 fwd turbo with no problems, and as for the axels like i said i have one of each and the do not make a difference besides the later having a bigger shaft, so i dont know what else i can tell you.

Hey the tranny that guy gave me was a F5M31 thats why it wont work and leaks gear oil.

The tranny i need is the OEM which is F5M33 . that other one came off a 97 galant after i did all my research... im still looking for a F5M33 anyone know were i can buy one?
