Well I pulled the car in the garage today and pulled the wing off what do you think? (vote and let me know)

Definitely leave it off! It just makes it look that much better without it..

I think it looks better on only because of the rear bumper kit, which makes the rear look stupid without the wing...if you had the stock rear bumper, I would say leave it off.

Looks good either way honestly. Too bad you didn't take pictures at the same angle. I think many people are just saying " keep it off" because it is the cool thing to do to hate on wings. Whenever you ask "should I add this cosmetic thing" people will always be like " blah blah no performance value, blah ricer" and not even take into consideration of what it looks like. Most people think having the same car as everyone else with the same recycled sets of rims thrown on is "clean". In the end it is what you like.

Why in the hell do people pull their wings off. First the wings couldn't get big enough, now everybody wants to rip them off. Stupid.

If I pulled my wing off my STi with the stiff rear sway bar they tend to run, I'd be dead right now. My Sti is IMMENSELY much more stable at high speed than my Eclipse GSX, thanks to the moderately high angle attack double wing and front undertray. Yes it looks rice, but for performance and SAFETY I wouldn't give it up.

Anybody remember the Audi TT? They originally came WITHOUT a rear spoiler, then guys started dying when the cars oversteered at high speed. Then Audi started putting spoilers on the TT, hint, hint.

If I see a wing like that on a Honda, then I cringe. On a DSM I'm not crazy about that style wing, but it looks MUCH better back on the car. Your body kit, hood, and rims tend to complete the look with that style wing. Put it back on.

I say it looks great both ways. You have a very nice looking car with or without the wing. Just wanted to tell you you have a beautiful car and I like it both ways.

I actually read a study on these stock wings. The evo's the sti's and the 3000gt. I dont have the numbers, but pretty much what it said was the sti's wing sucked becasue theres so much more drag then downforce, the evo was not much better, the 3000gt's was actually the only one worth it.

im not a big fan of bodykits and big wings myself but i must say
your car looks well put together.....

like others said "its all about what you like, thats what really matters"

i say leave it on.....looks good with the bodykit...:thumb:

No some people dont just go with the flow, some like the big wings some dont, he asked for opinions he got em. Always thought cars looked better stock than with body kits and stuff like that..

keep it off, also, while at it take that hideous hood and rims off too. Very nice garage btw!

Lose the neon's while your at it. That shit wasn't cool when I was 15, and much less so now.

The neons went as soon as i got the car...:thumb:(Thats just an old pic) Thanks for the opinions guys, I never was a fan of bodykits on DSM's but for some reason when i found this car it pulled me in

You can't have it both. A high downforce rear spoiler is going to have high drag. Things can be done to the rest of the car to eliminate drag while also maximizing downforce: underbody venturi trays, shaved side view mirrors, engine compartment undertrays, front air dams, side skirts, etc.

I'll take a high drag STi wing any day of the week. Removing a wing on a high performance car isn't too smart. Pulling a wing off for looks:rolleyes:

I know you cant have one without the other. I wish I could find the article. What it pretty much said though, was the sti was horrible compared to the 3000gt's.

That car looks real mean..with the wing, and the body kit, and the neons, and the taillights.
