I have a 2G GSX Eclipse (evo 8 ecu swap) with the stock injectors everything is fine, but they aren't big enough for the FP Green it has.

So I put Precision 1250cc injectors, and idle is high, and way too lean (--- on the wideband) nothing I do changes afr, engine turns off, etc. I can't drive it. I used many latency values and no difference, cylinder 3 and 4 are not working, no fuel. After 3k rpm if I'm WOT car pulls fine! no problema at all.

I have tested and replaced almost every sensor the car has, I even swap to a black top CAS and still the same. Tested fuel pressure regulator, boost leak, etc everything ok

So I got some precision 1000cc to try it put, and same problem, idle lean and stalls.

Today I tried some precision 1200cc, and same thing, I adjusted some speed density tables, and no change.

Can't figure out what the problem is, why the car doesn't likes big injector.

What can I do? what's the problem?

Thanks for your help

Ok just to ask, are they low impedance or high? If they are specifically for your car they are low imp unless you got them used and arent 100%. Use a dmm to ohm out each inj, just to see if they are within range. If that checks out i would switch back, lower the boost and if the problem goes away you know its the inj and not a compatability issue. You can send them to rc engineering to have them flow tested and checked and cleaned. I have heard good things about injector dynamics:aha:

Did you put in the old injectors to see if the problem went away, after the first set gave you issues? Maybe something weird happened from you pulling those injectors to putting the new ones in.

Injectors are low impedance, I tried 3 different set, 1250 used but sent for service before using them and were ok, then some 1000cc used, and then some 1200 brand new! all low impedance. So I think it is not the injectors.

After many test with these 3 injectors I always come back to the stock ones so I can use the car, and it works fine with the stock ones, no problem at all. I have switched back and forth maybe 5-6 times.

At this moment I'm on the stock ones, and I can drive the car normally.

I know this is dead, but I wanna get off probation. Drivers in an ecu designed for low impedance have no problem driving high impedance injectors. More resistance would mean less current draw and less heat build up. Drivers designed for high impedance injectors can burn up from excessive current draw if used on low impedance injectors. Did you ever solve you problem?
