Im not really sure how to explain what is going on, so i will break it down into steps...
1.Blue smoke comes out of my exhaust only after a while of coasting in gear
2.Oil is really thick inside of my intercooler piping and intercooler
3.I have a 15-16 psi boost spike right at acceleration, but then it goes down to a steady 10
4.My car seems to be running fine, and idleing fine
5.No check engine lights
It is kind of weird, because i was going to do a boost leak test the other day, and noticed i had some oil around my BOV. Well...i was kind of confused, so i took off some of the intercooler piping and notirced that there was oil everwhere. I then took off my IC and that was pretty heavily soaked in oil as well. At that point though, my car was running beautifully, with the exception of my boost spiking. Then, i was driving and i was coasting in 3rd gear going about 45 and for a very quick instant, a cloud of blue smoke came behind me. Just a real quick poof, then it was gone. At first i thought maybe i just thought i seen it. So got going alittle faster, and coasted again. Nothing happened, then after that it happened again. It doesn't do this all the time, only about every other time(or less) when you start coasting. But it didnt do it right away either. I would have to coast for about 4-6 seconds. At first i thought for sure it was a head gasket, but then i realized if it was a head gasket it would be blue under acceleration, and i would be over heating alittle bit. Well, i wasnt over heating, and under acceleration it never smoked. The radiator cap isnt milky or anything like that either. Also the coolant in the radiator is a very bright green, so thats good.
Im not sure what my problem is because i dont overheat, there is no check engine lights, the car runs fine, but yet there is oil in the IC and a puff of blue somke every once in a while. I was thinking that possible the seal on the turbo could be going bad, which would cause oil to come out of the turbo and into the IC piping. Then after a few seconds of vacum, the coolant seal on the turbo might the opposite pressure it is used to, then coolant might go to the inside of the IC the same way the oil does. Its just kind of a weird problem to me. There is a ton of things it could be, and a ton that it couldnt be. It just doesnt match up if you ask me.
Excess oil + no check engine light +blue smoke + boost spike + nice running = confusing!
Any information will be very very helpful. Wether its about the boost spike, the oil, or the blue smoke. Thanks alot!
