Kinda stupid thing happened here, I bought a walbro 255 for a dsm off a guy and installed it (didnt fit too easily!), turns out it was a 1G pump. I broke a tab offmy stockone and cant reuse it. It sits a little crooked but it works. Now is this going to be a problem or can I just leave it in?

get your money back?

You MUST make sure that the positive terminal on the pump or the hot wire is not near touching the housing or else it could short and you could have some serious problems. I wouldn't put it in the car if you have any doubt on how it fits in the assembly. You could probably pick up a new assembly off of this site for cheap.

i broke my stock fuel pump too ROFL
but luckily my wabro went in fine.

but whats weird is that for the first couple days it was hella quiet like stock.
now i can hear it buzzing all the time....

The pump seemsto be sitting in there ok, just on a slight angle. I seem to be getting fuel cut now, but it's mostly likely because I havent tuned me gm maf, hopefully get a logger this weekend.

well in case anybody cares, I tuned my car and discovered that the fuel pump works fine and pulls hard. So I guess no problem with a 1G pump in a 2G other than the hard fit up.
