My headliner is rather dirty, so was thinking about replacing. But then my car has some vinyl in the trunk and a bit in the center concole. So I thought it would be interesting to have them all match up. This brings up a few complications though...

Where to buy a large sheet of high quality vinyl to fit over the entire headliner? Also it would need to match my vinyl in the car, texture and color wise. Then would I just be able to glue it over the existing cloth? I though that may even help sound proof it somewhat. Okay well maybe not that far...

Anyway heres the type of vinyl I have in the trunk:

I took this pic for the strut bar thread, so it's not really up close and detailed, but should give an idea.

LMK if anyone has personal experience with this or what not. Thanks!

Dude,I have a 90 Talon TSI AWD and I Fixed my liner with vinyl.Go to a fabric store, thats where I found mine.I got a 3 sq.yard piece for about $18.00.I will get pics soon, but you can see in my gallery that I did the door panels in the same vinyl. And to answer your other ?,You have to ripp off the old liner and take the foam-molded panel down so you can work with it.Then you need to sand the old glue off(and I mean sand, don't use any dissolvents or chemicals). Then get some spray adhesive(glue in a spray can),spray it all over the back of the vinyl and on the liner panel.Smooth any wrinkles with a credit card. When you wrap the vinyl around the edges, use a hot glue gun to hold the material tightly.Let dry, install, enjoy!!!!!!!!!!Hope this answers question!
