Vibration During Clutch Engagement

Hey guys, I just installed a new clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, and slave cylinder and I am having some difficulty.

The car vibrates alot during clutch engagement.
-Once in gear there is no vibration regardless of rpm
-It does not shake in neutral or when the clutch is disengaged while in gear
-The clutch is fully disengaged when the clutch pedal is down
-Everything was torqued to spec when installed, but no loctite was used
-All motor mounts are polyurethane except p/s, which is in good condition.

I've pretty much figured that I'm going to need to pull the trans but was wondering if anybody else has had this problem or have an idea of what it could be? Thanks!

The type of clutch disc can have a lot to do with a chatter during engagement. The metallic faced clutches , especially those without a sprung hub are prone to chatter. The grip-coefficient of friction- is much higher than an organic disc. Next is a warped pressure plate or possibly a damaged diaphram spring. The flywheel could need to be refaced. The clutch discs hub can be bent off center by hanging the tranny on the disc while installing it. You should always try to get the trans on the dowel pins before turning loose of it. The throwout bearing can hang up on the pilot shaft housing if it gets too worn with grooves from movement. I too think the trans will have to come out. Good luck.. Tres.....
