Yesterday I hooked up my boost gauge and my greddy profec e-01. When I started the car the boost gauge read about -10, and the greddy profec e-01 read about -9.9 at idle.
well this seemed to me like it should be sucking more so I asked on this forum last night,
and a guy said that his would idle at about -20. So I found the problem today,it was a unplugged vac line. so i fixed it and now my boost gauge reads about -20 to -23, but my profec e-01 still only reads about -9.9 and its not because of the vac lines.
I have the profec e-01 set to read psi. Is this right or should it be the same as the boost gauge????

What would cause my vaccum pressure to be at around 10? My vaccum lines are all on correct too. Would I have low vaccum is my valves were bent?

If everything was all OK, then yeah, they should be almost the same.

I'm not sure, maybe there is something wrong with your PROFEC. Or maybe that is as low as it reads (I doubt this though).

How is your PROFEC hooked up versus your boost gauge? Same source?

the profec is hooked up the same as the boost gauge i even swaped the profec and the boost gauge vac lines to see if that was it..

okay i just called greddy and they said my boost gauge isnt calibrated right because the profec is extremly accurate, and its very unlikely that the pressure sensor is broken.
so I took my car for a test drive and when it starts boosting the profec and the boost gauge read the same. so maybe the car just has crap for vac pressure who knows.
