read my profile on parts --- tried to start the car after rebuilding engine putting all new upgrades at same time. safc is hooked on right i set low throtle -30 1k, 2k, 3k...
afpr set at 37psi ... check spark plugs theyr wet peeked on cylinders lots of gas w/ plugs off and disconnected fuel pump i crank it again gas in cylinders is almost gone so i try again jump staring the car just in case batt voltage is low,w plugs on properly gapped got a couple of pops from exhaust im getting spark,, my timing is set right on the marks ... still flooded :toobad: im on my way to auto zone to check my coils just in case
any suggestion?? safc tunning advice ???? i lil help help!!!!

Has the car started at all since the rebuild? Have you verified the plug order? Also check to make sure the CAS isn't 180 degrees out of phase. All timing belt marks line up correctly? What are your SAFC high throttle settings at, you only mentioned low settings. SAFC is properly setup for Karman MAF? Let us know what you find.

What do you mean your timing is set at plus ten on the cover? It should'nt be. I'm not sure if your talking about ignition timing (which can only be set with the engine running and should be 5*) or whether you are talking about cam timing which should be at zero. In the meantime I would just take the afc out until you get it to start and run, it will be one less thing to worry about not working right.

it hasent start since it got rebuild, timing marks are were they should , as w the safc i put some 450's back i figure it would make it easire for now so my correction is at +15 i figure that w the 2g mas running leaner that would take care of it , thr setting are at low 30% and high 80% ...so i think that takes care of the safc. correct me if im wrong??
i recharged my battery at work, test fine , coils resistance is the same from one to the other any body knows were they supposed to be at ? im starting to mess w my cas now i havent done much homework on it yet but how can i test it ? and is the n/t cas the same from turbos?

Can you write in complete sentences with punctuation please. Its hard to understand everything when all of your sentences run together.

Which CAS are you running?? Green cap with the wire harness attached to it, Green cap with the plug on it or the black cap with the plug on it?? Has the car ran with the 2g Maf wired in or did you do that when you rebuilt the motor?

i did the 2g mas w all the mods all at once !! i know its not the smartest way but i know is plausible, shouldnt the car start even if the mas is disconnected ? i figure that the 2g mas is wired right so there should be no problems w/ that?, as w/ the cas is the green one w/ a 4 wire female plug the hooks on to it , i took it out spined it and there s spark ! so that means that the power transistor and the cas itself are working properly (right?), i did a primary and secondary test on the coils they test fine , im buying a good battery today and see what happends , any suggestions fellow dsmers

This is getting harder since so much was done at the same time. You may have to start pulling mods off to verify they're not causing the problems. First things first, though. Have you checked compression? I'm not sure what your rebuild included, but the motor won't start without compression.

The slider settings of the safc shouldn't keep the car from really starting unless they're way out of wack, so I'd zero them out for now. Better yet, I'd take it out of the loop to verify that it's not causing a problem. Did you verify that it's configured for Karman MAF in the SAFC?

Did you do the wiring on the 2g mas? Have you double checked it to verify the pins are correct? If they're not correct, you could damage the ecu. Can you swap a 1g mas back in to verify that's not the problem?

With the car in the ON position, pocketlogger should connect to the ecu. You might want to independently verify that your pocketlogger setup works in another dsm. If it does, you could have a problem with the ecu.

As for timing marks, we're talking about the cam gear marks when the crank pulley notch is at TDC (T position). The vfaq describes this: http://www.vfaq.com/mods/timingbelt-1G.html

Like I said, you may just need to start pulling mods off one by one to verify. I'd check compression first since you did just rebuild the motor.

car started ! redid my timing it was 180 out and i mod (cut the around the top black rubber) the magnecore wires ### they werent reaching all the way down... now just have to adjust the cas .peace .
