Hello I have an issue with my turn signals and flashers. When I try and use my turn signals or flashers, the signal relay under the steering wheel makes a very loud buzzing noise, and the signals dont work. I'm very bad at electrical and have no idea where to start. One of my friends said that it could be a bad ground, but I dont know.

Ok so I finally got to replacing the turn signal relay/flasherunit, fuses, the hazard switch, and even tried changing the wiring harness its self. Now I got the hazards to work fine, but my turn signals are still not working, and the relay is buzzing when turn signals are on, and the indicator light stays solid. When this all happened my radio, blower, and interior lights all went out at the same time. Any thoughts? I want to get his car back on the road. ASAP I hate driving my honda

Boost fluid is real...google it:) try pulling on ## hazard button. It may be sticking. Are ## blinkers working when you have the hazards on. Almost sounds like there is no load in the cuircut.

1. check the simple things.....do you have a melted socket, broken bulb that could be shorting out, cut wires by the sockets, pinched wire from taking the lights out?

2. if everything is ok you could have a bad multi function switch.

also are you sure the relay you swaped out is any good, when you flip the lever the relay should make a little snapping sound.

it would help if you could post a video of whats happening

I'm sure the relay I swapped out was good, it worked in my laser, and I tried to switch the multi function switch with a known working one and it made it even worse, the winshield wipers kept going on. I'll have to recheck all of my bulbs and sockets and check back here, heres the video of what its doing!

that is deffinatley a short, the buzzing is a switch or relay that should just flip to an open or close circut getting a constant feed. again check all bulb sockets and wires you can see around the lights for shorts or broken wires, also try unhooking your 4way blinker switch and try it again, that sound and problem is very common in older chevy blazers and it always is fixed by putting a new hazzard switch in.

Ok so heres the run down, I tried to clean all of the sockets, and check for broken wires. Nothing no corrosion, no broken wires, and all the bulbs are good. So the bulbs do not light up at all, even when the hazard switch is on. I did try and replace the hazard switch one more time and it worked for a split second, but it did the same thing again. I have no idea at all!

see if the fuse in the hazard slot is the right size. (in the engine bay, not under the dash.) you might have fixed the problem, then it overloaded the fuse. the last guy might have made a bad fix by putting a small fuse in there.
