Turbo price gouging?

I remember late last year price of "PTE dual ball-bearing" turbos were in $850 ball park.
Now, it's over $1,050. Vendors are learning lessons from the oil companies.
Nice going. I might as well get 2 for the price of 1... EVOIII turbo and slew of others. If you are in mood for moderate mods, EVOIII is more than capable. Let alone some vendors play hard to get and won't even carry it for a while... You know the drill...

And they blame PTE for price increase...just like oil companies blame opec and then rake in "record" profit...

There were some talks going on late last year of vendors raising price because of PTE.
I think it "supposed" to be posted on PTE's website. Not that Garrett was part of this rise.

They love your type of personality... A nice victim for their scheme. And I don't wanna go into supply/demand crap...it's just an excuse. What each one of us do has impact on each one of us. Just be wise on what we do vs jumping into the sack with the devil. Have you been to a management meeting? I tell ya, their "strategic plan" is nothing but coooold chilling scheme to get their goals...not even close to being humane. And it's getting colder as "new schools" getting into job markets.

To me, it's not what is executed, but how it's executed.

Yeah, price increase sucks, but what is the point of business? To make maximum profit. If they feel they can make more money selling less product for higher cost, that is their prerogative

Garrett doesn't just make turbochargers for vehicles, you know. They make them for a wide variety of powerplants, be it automotive/agricultural/industrial. We use them for our Twin Turbo'd V-12's here at work. Yep, they are expensive. Yep, they are hard to get.

Not to mention, prices for metals of all kinds are going through the roof. What is a turbocharger made of, again?

If you can provide evidence of price fixing you can start blackmailing some people It's sad that there's too many turbos in the market anyway so there's no grounds for an anti-trust suit
