Turbo part unknown

I was just wondering what this part is for. I have GT35 and I don't have this part, does it need to be plugged up or connected to something? It is circled in red. thanks for the help.

To connect to the wastegate to control boost pressure's.

That turbo just doesnt have an internal wastegate...You could use it on an external though.

You would put a vacuum line on that and the other side will go to your boost controller.

take a vacuum line, put one end on the nipple circled in red, put th other end on your external wastegate.. if you have a boost conztroller, connect it in between.

nipple------- boost controller-----------wastegate

or

nipple------------------------------------wastegate.
