turbo "break in"?

Do you have to "break in a turbo"? My T25 is going out (seals), so I should be getting my new one today. It is a used 16g and being that it's used, I can't afford a new one or even another used one. I didn't know if there was a break in procedure of any kind that needed to be done.

You just need to prime the oil system before actually starting the car with a new turbo.

It might be good to drive it around for a hundred miles or so w/o going into boost and beating on it. It never hurts to break things in before you start putting them to use. Generally though, a turbo will work it or it wont work. As long as it is primed, you will be fine.

used turbo has already been broke in. Gor first 30-45 miles baby her. Maybe if oil lines are new, I'd follow break in guidelines.

You dont have to break in your turbo, just make sure to, as already said, get some oil in there.
