windsor,
Hey I was just wondering if someone could list me the common trouble spots on these cars, and things I should check and make sure are okay and what I should change right away.

Start at the front and work your way back until you run out of money... LOL

Seriously, check all the standard maintenance issues first. They are well documented on this and other sites.

Like dreamin said... I would consider checking/replacing the timing belt, tensioner, etc. as a high priority. If an alternator belt breaks, you probably lose voltage. If a T belt breaks or jumps timing, you may lose at least the top half of the motor.

Take care of these cars and they'll take care of you ;)

Ok so this car Im looking at hasnt been started in like a month and a half, should maybe check the timing belt before I even start it, and if so what other things should I check before the car is started.

Just give it a visual at first.Check for a stripe down the center of the timing belt and check the sides for ware.Make sure to ask when it was changed if they dont know or its been awhile change it to save money in the long run. Also seeing it has sat for awhile when it first starts you'll probably here a ticking noise from the head but dont be alarmed more than likely it will be the lifters.
