trouble shifting from neutral to drive (Automatic GSX)

this rarely happens but the other day a coupler came off (non related) so i stopped on the side of the road and put it back on. got into the car and started it up. when i shifted it from park to neutral it stopped and didnt want to continue. almost like something was stopping it from it going into drive. i was able to force it into drive and it hasnt done it since. do you guys think this is a tranny issue or a stuck safety pin?

I would check the safety pin. and check to make sure the linkage moves freely and stops at the detentes on the tranny side of things.

Check your cables also never no something could be stoping it, I did something stupid and zip tied my ammp wires on my shifter cables and couldnt shiift but I figured it out lm.ao
