Ok having trouble figuring out which transmission i have.
95 Talon Tsi.
FWD Automatic.
It is a turbo.
So i'm thinking this might be a F4A33 trans.
Can anyone confirm this for me?
Thank you

It should be the F4A33 yes. A really easy way to tell what transmission you have is by the model of trans thats on the fire wall tag, or the model number thats stamped on the bell housing of the trans.

The F4A33 trans was for the FWD V-6 and the FWD turbo. My feyonces KIA has a F4A33 trans in it and we had to replace some seals and found that out as well as the engine is all mitsu parts as well. Who would of thought KIA is mostly made with Mitsu parts.

Hey thanks for the help.
I didnt even think about looking at that plate

Yes it is the F4A33 transmission, which is basically a modified KM transmission. The internals are the same as the W4A33, so you can't really mess up ordering parts for them. You can get OE rebuilds for $200-$250 depending on the brand, and I sell high performance kits that start at $420.

They are custom tailored to me by Alto. Comes with the Red Eagle frictions and Kolene steels. The Red Eagle friction is a basic high performance friction you would expect with any aftermarket kit. The Kolene process on the steels is a slat nitride bath process that helps keep them from warping. The basic kit comes with an OE style rebuild, only with the aftermarket frictions/steels. For $100 more, I give a 5 piece front hub setup, which basically squeezes another friction in the direct basket for 30% more power.

Since the kits are made to order, it usually takes 4-6 weeks for me to get them.

Here is some info:

Alto: High Performance

Alto: Red Eagle Tech Data

Here is an example of the end clutch kit I sell. Made of the same stuff, only it's just for part of the trans.

Cool thanks for the info Bender.
But the 4-6 weeks is not in my time frame.
But i do appreciatte the info.

No problem. IPT sells a similar kit for a tad more, but you get it sooner. Depending on your goals for the car, you may be able to get by with the stock rebuild kit for much less. I recommend them for 350-400hp, although they have been proven to hold more.

Also, I sell shiftboxes and valvebody kits as well.

Cool well i will keep this is thread in mind.
I just bought another 91 Talon Tsi, so i'm going to take my 2 91's and make one good one.
With a manual......Oh hell ya!
Started that project 7 years ago and have been dragging this thing around all these years.
But scored a killer deal.
Once i have that running then i will have my 95 sittin around to do whatever with, then i'll focus on getting that fixed up.
Thanks again for the help Bender
