Ok I know I sound like an idiot asking this but I honostly don't know how to check / change the fluid on a manual transmission or the rear differential. If anyone could enlighten me that would be great.

There's two bolts on the rear diff: one on the bottom to drain it and one on the side to fill/check the level. Take the bottom one off and drain it into a pan, then put it back on. Take the side one off and fill it until the fluid is even with the bottom of the hole. Put the bolt back in.

It's a good idea to try to take the side one (fill plug) off first, before taking off the bottom one (drain plug). This way, if the fill plug is stuck, you won't have drained everything and be SOL.
