Tranny Question (1g)

Ok, my friend brought this up to me and i have no idea, i bought a 91 shell car, and i have a 92 , and im using my motor and the 92 tranny ,he said i may have cable problems ... i knew the 90's had a completely different setup, but i thought hte 91-94's were the same, if anyone knows anything about this let me know please.

Your right, friend is wrong. 91-94 are the same. 90 is the odd ball year for some reason. The difference between the 90 and 91+ is basicaly the sensors, throttle body, some wiring, nothing major. If your looking to move everything into the 91 from the 92.......it wont be a problem

well thats good as far as the 91-94 goes, but i know for a fact that the 90's have differnet cables and some other brackets, my friend swapped cables and brackets and other stuff so he could use a newer tranny in his car, but i wanst sure, if anyone else wants to chyme in id appreciate it.

It involves the speedo gears and the reverse switch. 91-94 are interchangeable. 90's are different.
