2G TOB Clip...?? HELP ASAP!!

Ok. So my tranny has been out for the past week, awaiting a new clutch... I shattered the pressure plate on the old one... yikes. So i pulled off the old TOB, and clip, did it very carefully, and noticed that the clip had one side missing. I really dont have the time to wait for a new Clip to come in... can fabricate one out of bailer wire temporarily? Its slightly thicker, and i would think it would last longer... i could also have one of the welders at work, tack the wire together around the fork to ensure it doesnt come off.... Any ideas???

I had this same issue come up last Friday, I couldn't find mine and needed it ASAP. I drove around and called around for an hour until I found a friend with one sitting around. I just called Mitsu after that and ordered him a new one.

I'm not sure if you could make one or not, my friends and I were joking about it but in all seriousness you probably could.
