Ok so when I bought my very first DSM the guy has the side skirts painted and ready to be installed onto the car. Since I have them I am thinking about getting them installed. Also I do think the car still looks good without them. :thumb:

Tell me what you think.

Sideskirts for sure man. Your front bumper looks way lower than the rest of the car. No good sir.

I'm not an anti-body kit person, some are done nicely, but in this situation I say go back to stock the fitment on your current bumpers (especially the rear) looks horrid.

Side skirts, yes. Get rid of that front bumper cover and polish those headlights. White 2g's are hawt but not with yellow headlights.

grab a new stock front bumper and buy a good looking lip with the money you would have spent on skirts.

if you really like your kit (and lets be honest, that's the only thing that matters) the i would vote get some side skirts.

I think that would be a bumper/ style you may come to outgrow.

Those photos where actually taken there at his house before I bought my car. The kit came with the car. He never gave me the stock bumpers for the car so I am not sure what has happened to them. Right now my goal is to actually get the car up and running before getting the side skirts done because I'm still debating on if I want them on or not. LOL..

At the moment my car doesn't run. As soon as I get my car up and running I'm taking it to the car wash and going to wash it down. Then I'm going to bring it back to my house and clean it some more. During the cleaning process my headlights are going to not be yellow anymore. :thumb:

Thanks for all the votes and comments guys! Keep them coming! :hellyeah:

They'll look good but, be ready to deal with a major headache. I put them on my car and it was a ton of fiberglass and bondo work to make them look and fit right. Not to mention I lost 3-4 inches of ground clearance.

I plan on getting them done locally. I am already putting in a ton of work for getting my car actually running :banghead: since the oil pump sprocket is seized up. But in the mean time I have been thinking of all I am going to do once the car is running and running good :D. Plus I have never had experience with bondo so I don't want to risk it.

id say go back to stock. 2gb front try and find some of the 2ga turbo side skirts with the grey and either the 2ga or b rear bumper... the one on yours look a little haggard

If you like the bumper and plan on keeping it, get the entire kit.

If you like stock (which 99% of the people on this board do), then get stock skirts and bumpers.

bottom line, though, is do what you like; Just do it right.

Its a GSX god please go back to stock with a fat front lip, specially if your bodykit is fiberglass if its plastic and you like it then just put on the sideskirts. fiberglass will give you alot of trouble down the road so there is nothing better than oem bumpers. now you even got the chance to convert it to the 2gb (97-99 bumpers)

good luck and hope you fix it soon.

i also say go back to all stock, i love the 2ga look, i just like the gray botton.

Well this is how I purchased the car from the guy. He gave me the sideskirts with the car and since I have them all painted and ready for installation and I don't own the stock bumpers and sideskirts I'm going to install the side skirts.

Thanks everyone for posting and letting me know what you think.

Another question I have is why does everyone on here LOVE stock bumpers and sideskirts? LOL. I like the body kit look but without the huge ass wing. Don't want to "R" it out. :thumb:

Because there are very few body kits that look nicer then stock (or as nice) .. And sorry to say, the kit on your car is not one of them :hmm:
