I bought a 91 GSX yesterday and already Ive had more problems than I know what to do with. My first and most noticeable thing is that the driver side front tire rubs on the fender if I hit a decent bump or take right hand corners and hit even a small bump. The car is lowered and has aftermarket wheels but its only on the driver side. The guy said that he did slightly clip something in the car which it is noticeable but it doesn't look like it would drop the fender almost an inch. Blown shock or something? Doesn't make any noise other than when the tire actually rubs. I haven't moved the car since I found this out for fear of shredding the tire, which is basically a period of hours since I bought it yesterday. But yeah, anything productive would be cool ### I'm ready to sell it already unless it's something relatively easy.

I'm sorry but you bought the car yesterday and your already wanting to sell it due to problems? Didnt you test drive it first or check it out at all?

haha, of course i did but a trip around a residential block doesn't tell you too much other than it actually works. Never got to hit much of a bump that would lead me to conclude that the tire was rubbing. And not to hate on first gens since I know a ton of people on dsmtuners drive them, but everything about this car makes me miss my spyder and it reminds me of what a beautiful piece of drivable engineering it is. So after that poetic note, anyone actually have anything useful?

Check the upper shock mount area, my opinion is a chewed up upper spring pad or seat or both is causing your problem. My drivers side has this same issue. I haven't made time or found the energy to fix it correctly yet, I just adjusted the coilover height for a temporary fix.

alright cool. rough cost estimate to fix something like that?
