ticking sounds when stepping on gas.

I noticed this problem this week. Previously the car made a slight ticking sounds while at idle but is making it now when stepping on the gas pedal. Any thoughts?

lifter ticking? maybe one of ur rockers are loose or seomethin?

Not sure. I do have my car at the dealership for an oil change and asked them to look into the ticking sound but I know it costs me $$$ for them to do anything.

Sounds like a loose header?

Unlikely, since these cars don't have headers.

Most likely it's lifters.

That is currently the source of my underhood ticking. I wish Mitsubishi would have put in steel inserts for the exhaust manifold studs
