This is my first DSM and my first turbo car. It's a 1990 Eagle Talon TSi fwd with a manual transmission. The engine is rebuilt and the turbo is also. It idles great at around 750 rpms. When I rev it to 3000 rpms it throughs the injector code. The injectors have about 3,000 miles on them since the visit to RC Engineering to have them checked out. Also I noticed that on the boost meter in the dash it won't go over 0 psi. I don't know if it is the gauge or a problem with the turbo. Could the ECU cut the boost because of the error code? I here the Turbo but no boost.

So, what should I do first? I am not a newbie when it comes to engines, but DSM's and turbos are all new to me.

Thanks for the help guys!!

First thing to do is check that the connectors stlll have their clips to lock them on the injectors and that they are on solid. Try to identify which injector is giving you the problem.

The stock meter doesn't measure anything. It's a display based on the ECU guess. Get a real boost gauge hooked up. Pressure test the intake to find and fix all the boost leaks.

Thanks for the info. I got the error code to go away. I think it was a loose connection. As far as the turbo goes I think that the wastegate is stuck open because I revved it up and had my friend watch and the wastegate arm was not moving at all. Is this possible?

Why would you expect the arm to move? Did the turbo build boost while you were doing this?
If it didn't then how is the arm going to move?

Apply 10-12psi to the nipple of the WGA and see if the arm moves. That's the test.

Check the turbo to make sure it spins freely, check the intake piping by pressure testing (boost leak test) to make sure any boost you might build only winds up in the cylinders.

Get a real boost gauge. the one in the dash isn't. It's run by the ECU based on how much air the ECU sees going through the MAF.
