Hi everyone. I've owned my 1G Eclipse GS for nearly 2 years and I just recently wanted to go with some aftermarket headlight sealed-beam replacements. As you more experienced DSM'ers know, the little phillips-head screws that attach the metal retainer to the headlight housing strip VERY easily!
So I wanted to give something back and share an alternative to those screws that I discovered, in case anyone is in the same boat. I am posting this because I didn't have any luck finding anything posted in the forums on this site. I hope I'm not duplicating anyone's findings!
These zinc-plated babies did the trick! They're Hex bolts, M4-7.x10mm
Never worry about stripped screws when modding your headlights again. Just grab a socket and you're all set.

I might do this so I don't have to worry about this again or possibly break the retainer.
