Ok so on my 97 gst the third brake light is like hanging down. It drives me insane to hear it clicking on the glass. I got the car like this and i have no idea on how to fix it. There are four holes in the light and two of them are plugged but the two that are closer to me when im driving are open, does somethin go into these holes to hold the light back up?? or what do i have to do to get it back up there..

Another question while im posting here...i have to change my alternator and have never done it before...it really shouldnt be too hard right, i mean ive swapped my turbos and everything and have a good mechanical experience, guess ill just check vfaq and look there...

Anyways Thanks A lot people :dsm:

Alternators, with everything still in the car, take about 30 minutes. Including two smoke breaks, a bathroom break, 3 phone calls, and taking the trash out for the wife. With that said you shouldn't have a problem.

Well put ddavisaf, as i remember replasing mine, it was a tight fit, slide it forward, roll it back and drop it out, watch that sensor on your oil filter housing :dsm:

ok thanks for the info but my real concern is this brake light flappin around..anyone kno how to get it back up where it should be???

Actually, it's my project for tonight since that stupid condensor put a hole in my radiator. I'll probably have to make the wife take out the trash herself this time.
