i was wondering what would cause my brake light and battery light to come on and go away. When my alternator was bad the brake light and battery light would come on and stay on and i changed the alternator and now the light come on and goes away so anyone have any ideas what could cause that another thing my battery terminals are pretty corroded could that be the problem.

Clean the terminals. That can cause some pretty weird stuff to happen, so I wouldn't be surprised if that is your problem. It is definately a great place to start and should be done anyway. Good luck. :)

It could be bad battery connections, bad battery, broken wire, alternator on its way out, bad connection on the alternator.

I feel your pain, i had that issue for 2 months after i did my clutch job, it drove me crazy.

Also check for bare stripped wires or bad grounds anywhere, i had the same problem and it turned out to be a loose ground for my freakin' radio and i would have never seen it if i didn't take out my side panel ! Who would of ever thought of that.. Just a heads up.
