Ok not to hijack thread but i found a deal on a 4g63 engine from a 1G but its a non turbo version which means i would need turbo pistons and such to make it stronger.

would this engine be worth 200$ in running condition?

idk about this mitsubushi eclipse he said it has 120somethingk he had it for six years just relaced the ecu and its a gst and its a 1990 and im waiting on pics of the engine

Because I know people who list cars cheap. Either they are extremely firm and that's all they're willing to go, or they don't really care. I've only went through 10 DSMs 2 1/2 years total. Offer him $800 cash for it and go pick it up. If it runs, it's worth it, regardless if it's FWD.

he said it needs a bat. so by monday i should have around 800 if everything goes right ill take my bat from my talon im parting out and see how it goes.. he also said the batt drained out because he left it in the cold? does that even sound right

Batteries do lose cranking ability when cold, especially if the car is just left sitting. There are a plethora of reasons why that battery could be dead. You'll just have to go and see how it checks out. That would also make me want to question how long it's been sitting and why.

it hasnt been sitting for that long ima say back in december around there he was selling the car cheap because it wouldnt start, he then brought it to a machanic and change the ecu and that as far as i know of the car he said hes selling because of baby this and that... it is a lil hard to understand him due to his accent and broken English. but if it has been sitting it was sitting for more than 4 months but he just sent a picture of the engine looks clean to me

It over all looks decent, there's just something sticking out like a sore thumb and I can't call it. Then again I've had a terrible migraine all day and besides my grammar blowing shit is starting to dance around on my monitor. Time to sip the cough syrup and take a nap. I'll take a look at it again tomorrow when I can spell without working Spellcheck to the extreme.

That's what was bugging me - There's a better vehicle every time.

Go for it. Aside from the guy not knowing the difference between 'Prove' and 'Proof'. As long as he has documentation for work on the car then you have yourself a new stroker toy.

i told him i had the money and i wanted to buy but he says he was not satisfied by the turbo and having it retuned on pump gas with a evo b16G

An 16g can go a long way, but it makes me wonder what he was running before as it's not listed from what I can recall when I looked. Did he mention what the previous turbo was?

He said he was running a 20g at 26psi. said it was cheensy
