khendriksma1 said:I don't know exactly what it is. Here are the diameters of the inducer/exducer (I might be a couple thousandths off with the exducer).
Inducer = 2.298"
Exducer = 2.674"
I am not sure if I have figured it correctly but it seems that this is a 74-trim.![]()
Is this the correct formula? Inducer squared divided by the square of the exducer x 100? I get 73.784237003912800447177193963108 or 74-trim for short.
If this this correct, is this trim supposed to be good? I have heard that the higher the trim number the more efficient the compressor is.
redrkt said:If these measurements are accurate and taken off the B52 then i'd have to say it has to be a TO4B H-3. The TO4B H-3 measures 2.298 inducer and 2.75 exducer, and is rated anywhere from 49 lbs/min to 53 lbs/min depending where you look. You will often find a few lbs/min difference in the rating of the same compressor wheel from different vendors. This turbo was designed and used as oem equipment for Ford turbo trucks back in the day.
Any idea what turbine wheel is used or what it measures?
this is not the H3 wheel. The compressor wheel is actually quite new compared to alot of the wheels being used today. flow rating is over 53lbs. we simply used the term "52" for the novelty effect.
Maybe this time you should call up Bullseye Power to find out what wheel it is since you don't believe the information khendriksma1 and i have given.Above all those great features this turbo will flow over 52lbs/min! Yes folks, we are talking 50trim flow numbers!
Your TO4B v1/v2(48lbs/min) that you sell is closer to flowing 50 trim numbers. It is also the same turbo used in oem applications for industrial John Deer Tractor equipment. People really need to realize that there is alot more to a turbo than just it's max flow rating.redrkt said:Well, regardless what you say, the turbo khendriksma1 has uses the TO4B H-3 wheel
)it seems to have been pretty well understood that it was regarding the lbs/min rating.
ITSME4G63 said:You guys should jsut reconsider bashing anything about the turbo or the speed factor. Considering the price of the turbo compared to whatever you want to compare it to, there just isnt anythign better out there for the price. Plus a 2 year warrantee which is hassle free for 70$ is just nuts, you dhave to be stupid not to get it. Hey martin, Ive got a question about the d2 suspensions you sell, where do they originate? Are they another japanese company liek tein?
Talk about beating a dead horse. You know damn well that PTE gave me info as a vendor that you weren't given when you were on a mission to prove me wrong. You kept arguing there was no 55 when i knew there was and the only problem was when i was misinformed by PTE about a number which i corrected and acknowledged i was misinformed.
Anyway, the wheel IS NOT AN H3!!!! It is similar but not an H3. the inducer is a tiny bit bigger.
When i said flows over the 50 (which is 49 not 47lbs. )it seems to have been pretty well understood that it was regarding the lbs/min rating.
I don't know what the hell it is you have with trying to be the dsmtuners.com official instigator but if my customer thought something was wrong i think he would contact me. We bust our asses to make sure our customers get exactly what they want and while i may not have years and years of experience as a vendor we have many customers on here have never expressed anything but praise for us so i would appreciatte it if you would not spread information that is untrue that you are assuming.
oh and i'm pretty sure the H3 was a grand national upgrade not the smaller wheel used on the mustang.

A tiny bit bigger inducer with the same exducer? C'mon man, there are only a few possible wheels it could be. You get them from Bullseye, and it is the same H-3 turbo they sell. khendriksma1 verified this with his measurements, are you calling him a liar too?
1029TSG said:in fact the compressor wheel in the B-52 is not even made by Garrett

Redrkt, no dis-respect, but why don't you handle your issues/differences with prostreetdsmx1 via PM or something rather than fill this thread with it. That is not what this thread was intended for. Rather it is for "opinions" on the B-52 from TheSpeedFactor.com. Do you even own one? If not, you have no reason to "lay it down" like you are. I have one of the B-52's but you will notice that I haven't posted a lot in this thread either because it is not installed yet so I can't give an honest opinion.
I may have been off very slightly on my measurements of the wheel. I am pretty certain that the inducer measurement is correct but I don't believe that the exducer is 2.75" like the H-3 has. I never got a reading that large.
I don't have any reason not to believe prostreetdsmx1 that this is not an H-3.
It's just a sales technique called hype, i've seen it used before in the gt3251 thread on DSMTALK.Does it REALLY matter what wheel is in it if it performs as it is supposed to?
I only posted the measurements to find out if anyone knew what it was... not because it really mattered to me but because when someone asks me what I am running when I am at the track I wanted to be able to tell them. If I just told them a T04B "B-52" most people would have no idea what I am talking about. If I were able to tell them it was an "[insert trim here]"-trim Garrett T04B it would make sense to a lot more people.It must matter somewhat, or you wouldn't of measured and posted the wheel to begin with.

redrkt said:Thanks for the spelling lesson. Maybe you could give your turbo salesman Martin some capitalization, punctuation, and sentence structure lessons as well.![]()
So can you tell us what the B52's max flow rating is, other than "over 53lbs/min"?
Its ok. My rep speaks for itself and fact of that matter is YOU AND I got banned from DSMtalk because going back and forth got out of hand that is why. Don't try to make it seem like I was banned for "lying" or "misinforming" fact of the matter is you got suspended just like I did. redrkt said:Thanks for the spelling lesson.
